Structure

Unitas Central Office lies at the heart of Unitas and is based in Solihull. This forms the hub of the whole organisation and supports the Board, Executive Group and the Operational Project Groups. Staffed by Director, Mark Boucher and Operations Manager, Catherine Bragington, this is the "public" face of Unitas, and is dedicated to the implementation of the Business Plan.

The Board is made up of the Proprietors from the 10 Member companies and meets twice a year to ensure that the Alliance remains on track to achieve the aims set out in the Business Plan.

The Executive Group consists of 5 senior Directors from the Member companies plus Central Office and oversees the strategic development of Unitas.

The 6 Project Groups mirror the main areas of development as identified in the Unitas Business Plan. Each is completely autonomous and has financial backing to achieve their individual aims.

Broking Managers Group will be at the heart of Unitas moving forward. It will monitor Insurer performance and have input into market relationships. It is also charged with attaining appropriate MI in order to better understand Unitas’ business

Communication Group ensures the slick and effective communication of all messages across the 750 staff within Unitas. This forum also has responsibility for the website, Intranet, annual Conference and external PR

Business Support Group has responsibility for supporting Members on regulatory issues and business processes

The Technical Group focuses on sharing and building technical capacity across the Members. It also provides access to technical support material so Members are able to offer clients the best possible advice

The ICT Group helps to steer Members through the complex world of IT and electronic communication. From the insurer-backed initiative of I-Market, through to systems upgrades, the Group aims to deliver cost effective solutions for both Members and Partners

The People Development Group is a forum for supporting joint activities in the areas of training, education and performance management. The Group's aim is to ensure that staff are amongst the best trained and technically competent within the Insurance Industry, allowing Members to offer clients the highest standard of customer care and service
