History

Unitas was formed in December 1997 by a select number of the UK's major independent insurance brokers. The aim being to offer customers a wider range of products and advisory services on a national scale. Today there are 12 Members operating from a wide network of offices, with representation across the UK.

Controlling premiums in excess of £320 Million, Unitas Members are amongst the most successful insurance advisors and risk managers within the UK Insurance market.

The Unitas Proposition

The Proposition is built around the unique regional strengths of each Member. By harnessing these synergies, Unitas is able to offer National Strength with Local Service and the capacity to deliver bespoke customer solutions.

Objectives

The main focus in 2006 will be on:-

• Compliance - supporting Members in understanding and meeting FSA standards
• Developing our People - helping Members train and develop key staff
• Working with Members on National Developments - new market opportunities, risk management etc.
• Market Relationships - working closely with carefully selected business partners
• Intranet Development - providing an internal network to facilitate information sharing with Members and Business Partners
• Working with Trade Bodies and Associations - BIBA, FSA etc.
